Not connecting

Was working fine for 2 years. Then stopped connecting. Replaced hub and chatted with support for hours doing basic resets. Eternally frustrating. Bad system and expensive

Hate the updated schedule

The scheduling now includes the next day for ever day. I don’t want to control Tuesday’s schedule from Monday! I hate it!!! Just let me set everyday’s schedule individually.

Absolute rubbish

Until a very short time ago, I had a heating schedule set up. Now I have nothing and no way I can find to set it up again. I don’t want to belong to a ‘community’. I just want to control my heating. Now I can only boost it for a specified time period. Why did they need to change the app?

Not for US customers

I purchased this and although it has Texas on the box it is not for USA consumers. I downloaded this app and it will not let me create an account, it’s only asking for username and password. When I tried to see if I can create an account through a website on my PC it doesn’t allow USA consumers to navigate on the site only UK and Ireland users. Don’t download or be bother with it if you are in America.

Horrible app and customer service

App stopped working and logged me off. I tried to reset password and it said there was an issue and to try later. No customer support except for an email address. The website on PC has a chat icon on bottom of page but none functional.

Scam!!!

I bought alot of light bulbs, sensors, plugs. They are all useless because of Hive stopped support USA. This is a scam. Apple should ban this app or anything from this company.

DO NOT BUT HIVE PRODUCTS IF YOU LIVE IN USA

I was gifted a set of Hive light bulbs with the Hive hub. I tried to set up the lights and came to find out that since 2021 the company has pulled the functionality of all of their products in the USA. Their products are now useless unless you have the amazon automation system. Again if your in the USA do not support this company. They're happy to take your money and not offer the system you paid for to run their products. I just read in their we site that if you have their thermostats it will no longer function as a smart thermostat. You will only be able to manually use it.

App No Longer Works

App no longer works. Trying to reset password and they send me a verification code that does not work. Just keep going round and round with error codes and retries of same process. No one helps with issue. No response. Can no longer program smart features.

Can’t register

I don’t know if it’s just me but everytime I try to register it keeps saying something went wrong in our background etc I’ve been trying for the past months.Very disappointing

They “quit” servicing the US

Only works in UK. They no longer offer customer support for the US. My expensive smart thermostat is now and extremely expensive dumb thermostat… to be fair, though, it never really did work right anyway. Don’t buy this brand unless you live in Jolly ole England (as performed in me best limey accent) or you feel like wasting hundreds of dollars.

Can’t control thermostat with app anymore

My AC/Heater has been wacky for the past fee days. I’ve tried adjusting it with my app to no avail. I’ve tried adjusting it manually to no avail. I tried updating my app to see if that would help— nothing. As I’m trouble shooting it, I found on their website that they whole thing has been discontinued and that the app no longer works?? This is ridiculous!! Check the website for yourself.

Terrible Company

Give has decided to drop all North American support which has bricked any online functionality in the states. Instead of just letting us continue to connect to our devices over WiFi they intentionally locked us all out. Now any NA user will just end up throwing these things out, gotta love more E-waste!

App no longer works

Just updated the app to the latest version and it didn’t remember my hub device. Tried to add my device again but the app doesn’t recognize the ID (yes, it was correct)! The customer service is only available for a few hours a day and they don’t specify what time zone they’re in, so I have no idea when I can contact them! It’s also frustrating that they don’t give me the option to just email a representative. Why not?!

Just installed a new thermostat and can’t even use it because I can’t register my account!!! ITS FREEZING I’m in the north with babies!!! Please fix your app! I called daytime and it says your office is closed!! What!!

Need UPDATE

App needs updated, unable to use to adjust thermostat with new Apple update. Fix ASAP!!!

4 year user

So far I’ve enjoyed the use of the HIVE. I like the convenience of being able to turn lights on and off, as well as adjusting my thermostats (up and down stairs) without being at home. Downside is sometimes I have to adjust the AC twice before it actually accepts the change. Or every now and then all of my lights will start turning on as if they are on a schedule daily.

No Notifications

Not getting notifications at all on iPhone even though I used to get them. Followed all Hive instructions, all notifications are turned on in the app and still nothing. Hive’s response? “ If all of this is correct but your phone still fails to receive a notification you will still get this activity captured in a recording so you can check it from your Hive app.” This is NOT a solution! I was planning on adding more cameras but after this, looking elsewhere!

Terrible Update

This update is the worst. Suddenly I am unable to modify on/off times for my device. When I change the on time it automatically switches the off time to 15 minutes later and vice versa. Please fix!!!

Non responsive with Alexa

Anyone else now having issues with controlling Hive items with Alexa. Had been working fine for about a year. I’m not sure if has anything to do with the latest update?

Update 12/20 recent update has permanently locked me out of my account. The update prior to that disabled push notifications for door sensors. The app was completely useless when they started pushing 2fa every other button press. I will start by saying that this app is far from something that should be sold. The equipment is far too pricey for this app to be that bad. I went from a free (AtHome) app that just had ads (not many just wanted “premium”) that barely bothered me to this unstable junk. I have a few door sensors, smart plugs, lights and cameras. I also have a whole list of issues. First no apple home support?? Most issues fall in this app. While hardware looks and responds decent on its own, this app destroys usability. The schedule settings are very tedious and time consuming compared to free alternatives. The watch app is useless. Watch barely connects to it (claim they fixed that) The iPad app is terrible. It’s not meant for the screen ratio and “full screen” in the camera live view is a cropped view with a third of the screen showing what you just tried to hide. It’s horrible to navigate on iPad. The app only records for 15 seconds. Regardless if there’s action or sound. So if someone’s stealing your stuff. You get the first 15 seconds. So hope a burglar don’t break a window then wait 15 seconds to make it to camera or else you will just have a nice blank video with the sound of your window shattering. The app should never be trusted for home security. I set it up in many different areas to test it and every time it would get fooled by making a loud noise then just waiting 20 seconds to walk by camera. Camera never caught me doing this. I do however really like that in the event it gets a face from motion, it sends the pic (very well edited) to your watch and phone(email and iPad). This is the only thing in the app that was thought out. And it is an amazing feature. The two way audio is not clear at all. I’m pretty sure the second you go live, it starts sending your audio through. That’s kind of annoying. And very counter productive. I tried testing this and while there are no buttons to “transmit” from app sometimes it sends random parts of what the phone hears. Horribly execution. I trust the security of my home with a free app using old cellphones (athome) way more than I could ever trust this. It is now a baby monitor. That’s right I had to revoke permission to my mic because I kept waking the little one up just checking on him. But it’s really cool seeing his little sleepy face get sent to me every time he moves through out the night. But if you watch the feed and something happens(bad internet) it makes a weird noise at camera. A noise loud enough to promo recording. There’s quite a few more issues too. Hive hardware is pretty decent. I could see this being 5 stars easily if I could use it with a different app.

Not able to login on the app

I have been having trouble using the app since yesterday. Looks like a new version was updated and evidently it affected being able to login or use the app to control your lights. I have Alexa and I’m able to use her to turn my lights on or off up or down but I’m not able to use the app. It says “ooops there’s been an error trying to log in to your account try again.

You updated this yesterday and now I can’t get into my account and I can’t reset my password either as I get an error with that as well. HELP ME!!

Latest update locked me out

The lastest update deleted all my devices and now I can’t log in or reset my password.

Can’t use app since update, says oops something went wrong every time I attempt to do something. Deleted and reinstalled app now it won’t even let me log in

Didn’t even work...

This product doesn’t work. I was given this product from my energy company. I never worked up the nerve to try to put it together and so it stayed unopened in the box for a year or so but amidst this time of quarantine I decided to put it together. I started off plugging in it as the app instructed it blinks green. I thought that showed some promise so I plugged in the Ethernet cable into my router and the green light continued to blink. I decided to type in my hub ID and all I got for the next hour was... sorry we can’t find you HUB. Wow! I mean really?! I have 2 door sensors, 2 color changing light bulbs and an active plug that are just left to rot because the HIVE is crappy! I don’t know if it’s the app or the product, but a pointer to whoever runs this company your product is supposed to WORK!

Even with your latest update 21/3, the app doesn’t function perfectly under 13.4 lock screen. You must unlock before issuing a quick action request via Siri.

App keeps crashing!

Hive needs to fire it’s developers. The app keeps crashing after every update. It’s been over a week now that app hasn’t work and developers still haven’t fixed it. There’s no any point of owning a smart home products if you can’t use them.

Randomly stopped working

Im proficient in tech so ive done all the troubleshooting steps 3 times for this thing and nope, nothing just stopped working completely.

Disappointed

The app always says the thermostat is offline, the thermostat is always searching or if it is “working” it does not correctly maintain the temperature it is set to. The customer service department is not much help and you always get disconnected.

Silly issues easily modified through software

Hive switches time for no reason with no user end opportunity to modify time. Interface in software is non intuitive with heat pump settings not explained. Customer service for the most part is responsive. Hive needs to rewrite the heat pump section of the software/manual and give the user more options like changing the time and date, login information. Personal information is required which seems intrusive.

App has be crashing for DAYS. Contacted customer service and they say it’s a known problem and had no other details. Wouldn’t be that big of a deal if my whole house wasn’t hooked up to the app. Thanks for nothing.

Ever since the last update the app keeps crashing, I am unable to open the app. Is this being worked on?

Used to like the app quite a bit but they’ve apparently busted it completely. Has many problems now and will likely be looking for a new product altogether soon.

Junk

Updated hive app on ipad and iPhone today for the new iOS 13.1.2. Now hive is offline for all devices. Rebooted hive hub, router, etc several times. Never had a problem till updated app today. 10-02-2019

Stopped Working

It worked for a while, but now it doesn’t work anymore. It’s been about 2 months that I can no longer control my thermostat.

Schedule throwing NaNs

I cannot use the schedule feature on the thermostat because it keeps adding several time slots at the end of the day. These time slots show "NaN" for the temperature and I cannot override the temperature. I also cannot delete these time slots for some reason. When I reset to the default times and then turn from manual control to scheduled, all of the bogus time slots and NaNs reappear.

Schedules are a nightmare

The app constantly freezes when trying to change the schedules. I cannot copy from one day to the next because it goes back to the default schedule for all days. Very frustrating

Have to shut off phone DAILY, to reset app!

Pain in the neck! Plz fix app so I don’t have to shut off my phone to reset app in order to control my lights.
